Release Notes

Version: 0.3.0 | Release Date: 02 March 2026

General Information

This release introduces major usability enhancements in shipment creation, expanded template visibility, new carrier and authorization capabilities, ATLAS export improvements, and additional operational safeguards. These updates enhance shipment accuracy, system security, configuration transparency, and workflow efficiency.

Note

In addition to the features below, this release includes ongoing bug fixes and security, performance, and usability optimizations!

New Features, Improvements, and Changes

White label Shipments

White label shipments can now be created in Fredi. When white label is enabled:

  • Carrier selection is not required
  • Labels are generated from Document Builder templates
  • No carrier label number is generated

This allows centralized tracking and management of non-carrier shipments within Fredi.

ATLAS-AUSFUHR Enhancements

Admin Configuration – System Field

The Admin > Company > BEO–ATLAS Connection screen now includes a mandatory System field. All company-specific configuration values (System, Client ID, Client Secret, Mandant ID) are validated by ATLAS.

Enhanced ATLAS Export Mapping

The Fredi–ATLAS export mapping has been reviewed and updated based on the official interface specification. Enhancements include:

  • Correction of existing field mappings
  • Removal of incorrect default values
  • Addition of missing export-relevant fields
  • Inclusion of package-level data in export declaration:
    • Type of packaging
    • Amount of packages
    • Shipping mark
    • Position number references for grouped packages

These improvements ensure accurate and compliant ATLAS export declarations.

Template Management Enhancements

The Template Setup screen now displays both custom templates and default system templates.

  • Default templates are labelled as System Default
  • Default templates are editable but cannot be deleted
  • Template Name can be added or edited
  • Create New Template button has been removed

This provides full visibility into all active templates and simplifies template management.

Shipment Access via Barcode Scan

Shipments can now be opened directly by scanning a carrier-generated barcode containing a valid Fredi shipment reference number. If no matching shipment is found, a 'Shipment not found' message is displayed.

This enhancement improves operational efficiency and reduces manual search effort.

Error Label Printing via API

Error labels can now be printed automatically via API when shipment creation fails due to:

  • Missing data
  • Validation errors

Labels are printed in the configured label format and routed to the appropriate printer.

Limited Quantity (LQ) Configuration in UI

Limited Quantity (LQ) information can now be configured directly within the Create Shipment page.

  • LQ toggle available in Article Detail view
  • Automatically synchronized with the API
  • Persists during shipment edit
  • Master Data LQ value is used if defined

This ensures consistent LQ handling between UI and API workflows.

Carrier Authorization Setup

Trackon Credentials

Admin users can now configure Trackon credentials (AppKey, User ID, Password) within Fredi. Credentials are securely stored and used for API transactions.

Professional Couriers (TPC) Credentials

User ID and Password can now be configured in Company Settings for TPC. Stored credentials are used for API communication.

Packaging Safety Enhancement

A confirmation dialog is now displayed before deleting an article or package within the Packaging section.

This reduces the risk of accidental deletions during shipment preparation.

FedEx Registration Fallback Options

Selectable fallback options are displayed after three unsuccessful FedEx registration attempts. Users can continue the onboarding process through guided alternative flows.

DHL Express – Paperless Trade (PLT) Support

Paperless Trade (PLT) is now supported for DHL Express international shipments. Users can transmit shipment documents electronically to DHL Express, eliminating the need to attach physical paperwork to the package.

Professional Couriers (TCP) Integration

Fredi now supports shipment creation and label generation for Professional Couriers (TPC).

DHL24 Shipment Cancellation

Shipments created with DHL24 can now be cancelled directly via Fredi.
