New Features, Improvements, and Changes
Package Measurement Validation
Girth measurements are now validated against the carrier's accepted limits. A warning message is displayed in case of exceeding the threshold value. This enhancement enables users to proactively correct shipment dimensions before carrier submission, reducing the risk of rejections or surcharges.
Reuse of Shipment References
Shipment references associated with cancelled shipments can now be reused. This enhancement improves reference management and avoids unnecessary reference regeneration in downstream systems.
Master Data Enhancements – Article Number Support
ERP systems can now send the article number directly to Fredi.
Fredi uses its master data to determine whether an article is classified as LQ (Limited Quantity). The LQ information is automatically included in the carrier request. This eliminates the need for:
- Custom fields in the ERP
- Manual LQ handling during shipment creation
Splitting of Multi-Label Files
Users can now enable system to split multi-label files. When enabled, Fredi will:
- Split a single PDF containing multiple labels into individual PDF files
- Generate one label per file, mapped to the corresponding shipment
Sender as Default Payer
The sender can now be configured as the default payer. This setting simplifies shipment setup where the sender consistently bears transportation costs.
Shipping Type Drop-down Enhancement
The Shipping Type drop-down now displays both the code and description, making it easier to distinguish between available shipping settings.
Automatic Packing Station Selection
Packing Station is now automatically selected on the Create Shipment page, when a user is assigned to only one Packing Station reducing manual input and speeding up shipment creation.
